  • We fixed an issue which prevented workbooks from being saved in landscape orientation when saving as PDF format.
  • We fixed an issue where the icon was wrong in the button to delete a Conditional Formatting rule when Excel was running in Turkish or Portuguese.
  • We fixed a problem where the “Sheet Right-to-Left” button on the Page Layout tab of the ribbon was not appearing as a toggle button.
  • We fixed an issue where the Icons button on the Insert tab was enabled on protected chart sheets when it should have been disabled.
  • We fixed a problem with printing when using page numbers in the header or footer. The page numbers would always start at 1, even if you specified a different starting page number.
  • We fixed an issue with the print alignment for sheets that are set to right-to-left orientation.
  • We fixed an issue where charts were sometimes not visible if Excel was open in the background for a while or when switching between sheets.

New or improved features

  • We improved the Preferences search by adding a result if the user searches for “misleading number formats”, which is one of the error checking options.
  • We improved the dialog for managing conditional formatting rules so that it is resizable, and it is easier to use with only the keyboard.

  • We fixed an issue that prevented the filter button from working when the buttons are in the column headers and the sheet is scrolled so that a column is partially visible on the left.

  • We fixed an issue that could cause the arrows for Trace Dependents or Precedents to disappear unexpectedly.
  • We fixed an issue where the sheet orientation would not be maintained when saving the worksheet in PDF format.

  • We fixed an issue so that screen readers can announce function names as you navigate the list of suggested functions, which pops up when you begin typing a function name in a formula.

New or improved features

  • Undo Send allows you to stop a message from being sent after clicking Send for a specific period of time (selected in the preferences). To enable Undo Send, go to Preferences > Composing.
  • Outlook now permits edits to rules and categories for shared mailboxes.

  • Online Archive: Online Archive is now available in the sidebar. Users can either manually move messages from the primary mailbox to the Online Archive or use retention policies or rules to automatically archive messages.
  • Filter by Category: Users can now use the Filter menu at the top of the messages list to filter messages by category.
  • File Answers: Use everyday language like “Files from planning” or “Files from John” to filter and narrow your search to find files. Your search can include the file name or the name of the person who authored it, and can include files that are sent over email or in Teams.
