When we first added Icons to Office, we got tons of great feedback that people loved them, but we also heard you loud and clear: you wanted more!

One of the biggest pieces of feedback that we get from our Insiders and Office customers is that they want the ability to be more efficient when making their presentations in PowerPoint. Our Mac Office Insiders are very vocal and we have heard you!

This is a story about how customer feedback led directly to improvements to the popular Morph transition, providing even more control for users to be able to create complex animations using Morph.

We recently added the capability to @mention your collaborators in comments in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. @mentions makes it easier for you to notify your peers, pull them into a document, and work together wherever you need their attention.

Office Insiders Fast users now have access to some new Morph improvements which give you more control over which objects Morph. You can now specify which objects Morph across slides, which enables smoothly morphing between different types of shapes, fixing incorrect object matches, changing one image to another, and more.

You might have noticed that the Office Insider website got a little makeover. We’ve added more content to help you sign up for the Office Insider program, as well as launching this new blog you’re reading. We’re also cooking up some exciting new innovations for the Office Insider program which we’ll roll out over the coming months so watch this space for announcements.

We added a new feature for Insider Fast update of Excel for Mac that many people have been asking for.  The Customize Keyboard feature is now available.  You can now assign your own key combinations to many commands within Excel.

In response to the #1 UserVoice request in PowerPoint for Mac, back in February, we announced the capability of rendering the embedded fonts in the presentations you received. Now, we’ve completed the scenario by allowing you to embed fonts in your own presentations, so that the content fidelity is preserved on any machine and the decks can render exactly as how they were authored.
